"The great power of art! This truth is slowly but surely paves the way. If the rulers of the countries realized the full extent of the high educational value of art, they would put every effort and every means to awaken the fire of creativity in people and to nourish his sound, color, and beautiful forms. No revolution, no war of the grasp could not find an echo in the subtle consciousness, vibrating at a higher vibration".
/ E. Roerich, Letters. /
Art can have a positive impact on the psychological state of a person. It is scientifically proven. Look at a piece of art and the presence of a loved person activates in our brain the same areas, on a hormonal level in the body is a burst of dopamine and the person gets a pleasant feeling, feels a sense of satisfaction. Art is emotionally and spiritually enriching.
I, as an artist, working with color and light, think of them as the two pillars of painting, the third is composition. Not the form but the equilibrium of the volumes of the two reasons - the mass of color and light. Svetoslav Roerich well said about the color: "Harmony in color is similar to harmony in music. It has the same effect; it causes the same reaction, depending whether we like the response or not. Take black and white drawing. There is never such a living element in it that gives color. Because of the color, even without the association and the form, still carries the vibration of life. Finally, the color is very close to music, poetry, sound and smell which are interrelated. Overall my thesis in painting is that color in the first place affects us."
Swiss psychologist Max Lüscher has created its own unique color test by studying the influence of color on the human condition. 23 colors were selected from 4500 colors as close as possible to natural shades. Now this unique test can determine the psycho-emotional state of man since the age of six.
"The colors you select to wear, have a profound effect on the owner, who, consciously or unconsciously, satisfies their psychological needs. It is desirable that the clothing of all participants of educational process had a clean and uniform tone. The contemplation of the pure blue and green colors of various shades noticeably balances the situation of the students, develops attention and concentration, helps the learning process, therefore, some psychologists recommend to have in the classroom a square of blue fabric. Color powerfully influences the person — as normal color, visible to the eye, color, called them before him, mentally." /Nicholas Roerich/
Painting is a powerful tool for developing creative thinking abilities and extrasensory perception of the world. It is known that the picture created in the state of altered consciousness (during meditation) with concentration on the idea of love and joy has a beneficial effect on psycho-emotional state of the viewer. Mental concentration (meditation) of the artist creates energy and informational background picture.
